Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park is located in the area currently voted the #1 destination to visit in 2018!We are currently looking for fun, energetic people to be camp hosts, cabin hosts, or visitor center hosts in one of our 2 campgrounds or visitor center.Fun, exciting opportunities await you in the Bluegrass State. We are seeking volunteers to staff our center and assist in outreach activities, staying a minimum of 3 months.Duties include: meeting/greeting the public, answering questions, assisting with cleaning the visitor center (cleaning does include visitor center restrooms), care of live animals, help with special events, workshops and other outreach programs, leading tours and helping with field trips and day-to-day operation of the center gift shop, stocking brochure racks; etc.There are two ponds and a creek that runs through the park. We are close to town for your shopping, dining, and miscellaneous needs with a country atmosphere. Many times you can stay in your RV and watch for customers to arrive, then register RVs and escort them to their site.
Some paper work and cleaning takes place each morning, as needed. Some general maintenance and site clean-up, as needed. WE DO the mowing of the grounds, the electrical and plumbing ourselves.
